Deputy Store Manager

Praktiker Hellas is the leading network of D.I.Y and Home Improvement stores in Greece, operating through 14 department stores and a rapidly growing e-shop, with a total sales area of 87.000 square meters, offering 50.000 products to 6 million customers annually.

We are seeking to recruit a Deputy Store Manager, who will be responsible for contributing to the overall success of the company by achieving store performance objectives.

 
Main responsibilities:

•Along with the Store Manager, provides a strong leadership presence, while ensuring that all customers receive a first- rate level of service.
•Assists Store Manager in partnering with Head Office departments to increase sales, drive/promote merchandise categories, and expand markets
•Forecasts business plans and coordinates all merchandise campaigns and sales promotions in a timely manner
•Manage and develop store staff to provide outstanding customer service, achieve operational excellence and meet
productivity and sales goals
•Responsible for controlling stock levels and reordering as necessary
•Enforces all company policies and procedures, including facilities management, security, and health & safety.
•Maps individual staff strengths, identifies training needs and utilizes company tools to develop action plans to
improve staff performance.
•Utilize company tools to create staff development plans for all level positions and delivers consistent feedback and
coaching.
•Takes part in projects and/or focus groups, aiming to develop company goals

Candidate profile:

•University degree
•2-3 years of experience in a similar Managerial position
•Knowledge of the D.I.Y. and Home Improvement market is
considered a strong plus
•Strong fluency in English is essential
•Advanced computer literacy (MS Office)
•Financial and Business Acumen: Ability to evaluate financial
and business indicators and translate data into
actionable information to drive results
•Planning and Priority Setting: Demonstrate an ability to set
objectives and goals and organize work appropriately to
meet and exceed goals.
•Influencing and Negotiation: Can present ideas which lead to
action
•Relationship Management: Able to build constructive and
effective relationships

Purchasing Coordinator

We are seeking to recruit a Purchasing Coordinator for our Head Offices in Athens.

 

 

Main responsibilities:

 

  • Provide assistance to the Purchasing & Marketing Director and make sure that all processes within the department are aligned with company policies.
  • Set and communicate procedures that ensure effective coordination among the different purchasing departments.
  • Undertake projects related to purchasing department’s internal needs that may also require the cooperation with/of several other business units.
  • Create and manage advertisements in the IT system of the company.
  • Organize and participate in meetings related to advertisement planning and ensure that all relevant information is available to all parties concerned.
  • Prepare statistics on the results of advertising campaigns and be responsible for producing several other reports according to the needs of the department.
  • Communicate with stores and current/future suppliers for various matters.

 

Candidate profile:

  • University degree in a business & economics related area
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar position
  • Strong fluency in English is essential
  • Advanced computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Excellent communication  and organizational skills
  • Customer service oriented with sharp attention to detail
